8 Limestone, light buff, gray or cream, in part massive, in part thinly laminated, argillaceous, no fossils 4.0-25.9 ft.
7 Limestone and shale, medium light green becoming buff-brown at top. Lower 0.4' consists of medium green massive, argillaceous, fossiliferous limestone; weathers out in large rounded masses; middle 1.8' medium to light gray, thickly laminated, calcareous marine shale passing with nearly uniform increase in lime to upper limy part of unit... 6 Medium gray, thinly laminated, clay shale with some plant remains. A 2-3" layer of coal 3.0' from base. A layer of olive-green clay 0.4' from top 0.2' thick. The bed below the coal seems to be an underclay 3.7 ft.
5 Limestone, medium to light green, dense, massive, somewhat argillaceous contains normal marine fauna and a few pelecypods and algae material (?) crinoid columns (a) 0.9 ft.
4 Shale, thinly laminated, mustard yellow to lead gray in lower 6' becoming medium to dark gray at top, shale is silty and very micaceous layers of a light gray-yellow, fine grained sandstone micaceous 6-8" thick at 2.4', 3.5', and 6.5' above base... 3 Shale, light green-gray, weather light buff, thinly laminated, more indurated at base, softer toward top. Nodules of impure argillaceous limestone occur 11 to bedding in upper 2'. The upper 1.0' is darker green 4.0-4.5 ft.
2 Limestone, light gray-buff, thinly bedded, very argillaceous with interbedded celestite, some coarsely and talline, pink; some dark gray, finely and talline 0.3-0.5 ft.
1 Shale, black, thin laminated calcareous and carbonaceous, somewhat indurated in part; no fossils seen 0.2 ft.
