5 Shale or impure limestone, ashy gray, weathers slightly rusty (more or less gradational weathering) 2.3 ft.
4 Shale, olive drab, brown mottling, non-calcareous, yellow in lower part 4.2 ft.
3 Shale, brownish-gray, slightly silty, very blocky, weathers light gray, becomes hard, slaty dark to near-black, plant fragments 1.3 ft.
2 Covered with calcite-impregnated zone, in joints and bedding at top 11.5 ft.
1 Limestone, slightly bluish-gray, crystalline unit 7 in #2 0.7 ft.
