  Pierre Shale  
1 Shale - fissile, dark gray, weathers to a medium gray, gypsiferous. Beds dip 25 degrees to the South Souteast at Eastern edge of out crop, dip is 15 degrees South Southeast at Northern edge. Section measured from fault-line contact with Niobrara up to top of exposed Pierre shale 104.5 ft.
