Unit No. Description Thickness
4 Winterset limestone holds high hill; partly oolitic; partly cherty; come oolite replaced by chert. Cannot tell which parts are which - weathered down +/- 30 ft.
3 Stark shale; not well seen; but black-fissile shale +/- 3 ft.
2 Canville limestone - massive, crystalline wavy beds are indicated - indicating upper and lower surfaces 2.3 ft.
1 Sandy shale and sandstone +/- 10 ft.
