1 Limestone - fresh color of rock varies, being a medium gray at the bottom and becoming brownish gray at the top; texture also varies with the rock being almost lithographic at the bottom and getting rather sandy at the top; thin bedding, even but with the bedding planes themselves wavy; flaggy; dense; few fossils seen but some bedding planes have "worm borings" on them 9 ft.
