1 Limestone - rock is very evenly bedded with thin shale beds between each limestone bed; fesh color is a medium gray or a dark brown as colors vary; weathers to a dull medium to light brown; highly fossiliferous with such an abundance of brachiopods, molluscs, bryozoans as to be almost a coquina; rock is sandy in most places; dense and hard 11 ft.
