Unit No. Description Thickness
4 Limestone ; light gray; weathers brown. Thinner beds near top; lower part in beds up to 0.4 ft; Dense, earthy, many crystalline veinlets porous thru solution 1.3 ft.
3 Nearly same as below, many irregular carbonaceous streaks on bedding surfaces, more brecciated than below Brachiopods at all angles Disturbed 2.8 ft.
2 Very massive, and gray, slightly mottled almost no bedding great hummocky masses; dense earthy textured crystalline veinlets carbon coaled irregular contacts Brachiopods; solution carritie with lean oil. 9 + is this part of Winterset which holds great dip slopes farther North 5.4 ft.
1 Weathered, bedded limestone in drainage ditch  
  Great cliff below in creek bank
