Brick plant quarry in Mound Valley

7 Coal 0.6 ft.
6 Shale, gray, clay, thin beds, somewhat yellow just below coal 2 ft.
5 Limestone, slabby 0.4 ft.
4 Limestone, characteristic for area to north, earthy, blue brown, massive, pinches out 20 feet away then reappears in 20 feet 1.35 ft.
3 Shale, gray, thin beds, flaky 9.4 ft.
2 Covered interval 10 - 15 ft.
1 Limestone - crops out in creek NE of quarry; 1/8 mile away  
  Note: 4 and 5 are same as 3 in 3-33-18 E  
  Mesolobis sp and coral of Michilinia in 3 as exposed in SE side of Md. Valley  
  4 and 5 are basal Mo. sandstone (limy facies)
