Unit No. Description Thickness
4 Sandstone, cross-bedded, massive, friable. Base uneven, displacing some part of lower bed. + 4 ft.
3 Shale, calcareous with abundant Marginifera in basal +/- 1 ft. black, hard, above. Leached to "soapstone" in upper 1 - 2 ft. +/- 8 ft.
2 Coal. Thickness varies. 7 - 10 in.
1 Clay, dark gray, silty, with abundant plant remains. 3 - 4 ft.
