7 Limestone, shaly, gray. Same fossils as (5). Resistant. +2 - 3 in.
6 Shale, gray, calcareous. +/- 1 ft.
5 Limestone, black, weathers tan to buff. Very hard and brittle. Distinctly jointed and quadrangular pieces round upon weathering. Contains large Mesolobus, crinoid stems, and abundant Marginifera. Sample taken. 8 - 10 in.
4 Clay, light to dark gray. +/- 6 in.
3 Zone of rough shaly limestone concretions. Contains Marginifera. +/- 2 ft.
2 Shale, black, hard, fissile. Abundant rounded phosphatic concretions. +/- 2 ft.
1 Shale and clay. Exposed. 1 ft.
