Exploration Method: Mississippian: Random drilling Douglas Sand: Drill-stem testing of the zone while drilling a chat test on the edge of the pool. Elgin Sand: Operator was pulling pipe on a dry hole that blew out from the Elgin Sand.
Drilling Casing Practices: Up until the mid-1950s, the wells were completed naturally, but most of the wells that produced from the Mississippian were fractured later.
