Drilling Casing Practices: 1100' of 8 5/8" surface casing is run to cover upper anhydrite and salt section. 7 1/8" hole to RTD, approximately 5500' 5 1/2" production casing is set to 5500' or 80' into Mississippian. Cement with 150 sacks of class H cement Pay interval is perforated underbalanced and produced without further treatment through 2 3/8" tubing.
Electric Logging Practices: Dual induction Compensated Density Compensated Neutron Sonic - Synthetic Sonic
Comments: Other Shows: Mississippi Marmaton
Discussion: SUMMARY Sandstones are extremely fine grained 50-150 microns. Quartz is major detrital mineral. Feldspars are mostly dissolved. Diagenetic reactions: A) Extensive precipitation of silica predominately as quartz overgrowths. B) Iron rich authigenic chlorites precipitated as bladed crystals lining the pores by coating the quartz grains. C) Minor amounts of Kaolinite, Illite occur, Kaolinite being mainly authigenic and Illite being detrital in origin. Potential Reservoir Problems: A) Extreme acid sensitivity due to iron rich chlorites. If acid is used without the proper additive, it will create a gelatinous compound of Iron Hydroxide. B) Migration of fines, due to loose Kaolinite platelets and illite fibers, requires the addition of clay stabilizers in any injected fluid.
