Richfield Field Oil & Gas Data

General Field Information

Produces Oil: Yes Produces Gas: Yes
Exploration Method: Subsurface geology and seismic studies
Drilling Casing Practices: The completion treatment is about the same for all of the reservoirs. The sand is usually well tested during the drilling. The normal practice is to drill into the Mississippian and set the production casing at, or close to, the total depth. The casing is perforated and the reservoir is usually fractured. Required surface casing: Average 9" at 1300 to 1500 feet.

Formation Lithology: The Morrow sandstones are white to light gray, medium to coarse grained, angular to sub-angular, well sorted and slightly glauconitic.
Trap Type: The lower Morrow sandstone production is from lenticular sands lying on a north-south anticline that is located northeast of the Keyes Dome on the northwestern shelf of the Anadarko Basin. The upper Morrow sandstone production is from sandstone lentils.
Continuity of Reservoir Rocks: The Upper Morrow Sandstone is present in only three pool wells: C SE, 32S-41W-27 C SW, 32S-41W-25 C NW, 32S-41W-36
