Adell Field Oil & Gas Data

General Field Information

Produces Oil: Yes Produces Gas: No
Exploration Method: Core drilling revealed a large anomaly in the area; this was later further defined by seismograph.
Drilling Casing Practices: Production pipe is set through the pay zone and each zone is perforated and acidized. An average of 250 feet of surface casing is required.
Discussion: The average completed well cost $45,000. The average dry hole cost $16,500.

(Lansing - Kansas City Supergroup)

Formation Lithology: The pay zones are light gray, finely crystalline, fossiliferous, oolitic limestones ranging from 5 to 20 feet thick. Each zone has 2 to 10 feet of porosity.
Trap Type: Adell field is the largest closure on the Adell-Jennings anticlinal trend. Adell is a large northwest-southeast trending anticline with over 80 feet of closure. The producing reservoir includes all the porous limestones in the Lansing-Kansas City groups down to and including the 180-foot zone. (Please refer to Adell Northwest field for type log.)
