Short description: Constructed in 1887-1888, the well was later turned into a tourist attraction as "The World's Largest Hand Dug Well." It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, and damaged by an EF5 Tornado that destroyed much of the town in 2007. A new museum was built in 2012, and the well was reopened to the public.
