Short description: Coolidge Sink in Hamilton County. In 1926, a hole suddenly appeared in the ground about 15 miles south of Coolidge. In 1930, the sinkhole was about 60 feet in diameter and 40 feet deep. By 1941, it had grown to 150 by 200 feet and engulfed a nearby country road.
