Short description: McBride Monument at Lake Scott State Park in Scott County. Lake Scott was originally named Lake McBride in honor of Grover E. McBride, a member of the then-new Kansas Forestry, Fish and Game Commission who was instrumental in creation of the park. His family erected the monument in his honor.
