Short description: Doyle (Towanda limestone and Holmesville shale) Shale exposed west of Milford Cemetery along east shore of Milford Lake; top of a massive, vuggy limestone bed in Holmesville shale at 352 m (1155 ft). Above this bed is 1.7 m (5.5 ft) of mudrock overlain by 1.2 m (4.0 ft) of thin- to platy-bedded Towanda limestone with base at 354 m (1160 ft); see graphic section; five digital photos; near center of south line of SE1/4, SW1/4, NE1/4, Sec. 18, T.10S., R5E., Geary Co., Kansas.
