Short description: Georgia Pacific Gypsum Plant in Marshall County. Gypsum is used to make cement, plaster of Paris, wall plasters and mortars, sheet rock, and fertilizer. It is mined in Marshall County in northeastern Kansas and in Barber County in south-central Kansas.
