From: 0 ft. to 3 ft. Dark brown sandy silt. Quartz grains range from 0.1 and smaller to 0.2 mm. Lightly stained with iron oxide. Grains angular to rounded. Non calcareous. Less than 0.5% mica. Lightens below 18 inch.
From: 3 ft. to 8 ft. Yellow to tan poorly sorted sand-pebble mixture. Predominately quartz, less 1% each mica and feldspar. Smaller grains angular to subangular. Larger round to sub-rd and frosted.
From: 8 ft. to 13 ft. Tan quartz sand ranging from 0.5 to 2 mm. Angular to sub-rd, frosted to transparent, pebbles to 18 mm, composed of granite, quartz sandstone.
From: 13 ft. to 18 ft. Tan quartz sand predominates, 0.25 to 1.5 mm. Chert and quartz pebbles to 14 mm less than 5% by volume. Less than 1% ang. black-coated grains, either manganese or iron stain
