Short description: Spooner Hall on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence, Douglas County. Constructed in 1893-1894 of Oread Limestone and red sandstone and designed by architect Henry van Brunt, Spooner Hall served as KU's first library. The hall was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
